Number of births in Flanders continues to decline
In 2013 65.484 deliveries in Flanders were recorded. Compared with the figures for 2012 (66.822) is a decrease of 1,338 births, or 2 percent. It appears from the report that the non-profit Centre for Prenatal Epidemiology (SPE) has announced.

Least babies in Limburg

In the past year 2013 65.484 deliveries were recorded. All provinces experienced in 2013, a decrease in the number of births. The largest decrease is in the province of Limburg (- 4.11 percent). The provinces of East Flanders (- 1.98 percent) and Antwerp (- 1.88 percent) fluctuate around the average, followed by the province of West Flanders (- 1.62 percent). The province of Ontario falls this year, the least (- 0.98 percent).
